The Cathedral
of Chaos "look through the eyes of fridges" November 2000 In a cradle
of cacophony there began a timly dilution of the sacrosanct stone. A
mal-melodious madness,born in the periphery of the modular,at the brink
of harmony,integrated the crucifucktion of the senses with a dispassionate
dogma of "NO BEATS". The spasmodic aural disturbances aligned themselves
with the forces of visual vivisection and produced an exfoliation of
the ears,a collage of insurrection for the eyes,a depilidation of dreams.(hairy-back,hairy-back......backbeat)
Dead sounds resurected to be bludgeoned once more.Colours made noisy,noise
made colourful.Shapes morphed into music and music twisted,writhed on
a screen.A dance of silicon eloping with time.Spool spillages forming
self regulatingembroysive cathedrals of chaos. The circuitrickery blew
holes in skulls allowingdirect access to the control centres of the brain.Mercenary
music,bred of mayhem,machinated the mind gurgling and chewing the cortex
to a pulp.A singular being could not resist.Temptation given a soundtrack.
There were proclimations of torture from the pulpit.The exstatic agonies
of the initiated made flesh and melted into us.The recanting,decanting
and chanting of the disciples was suffused with Boal's bass.The cochlea
rang the bells whilst the fovea saw hells. It went like this,the comunication
of chords,the corruption of order.The infinate possibilities of this
new born noise,bathed in a glow of a projected singularity,were made
apparent and consumed with fervour.These new modes of rejection are now
(and were) everywhere.Look through the eyes of fridges,water heaters.Listen
with the ears of barges,grinders.In these the essence exists.It is only
necessary to be aware.
