Elements
sonores / Double CD-R / January 2001

This journey
does not start immediately nor do u feel, how u got ON it, when u ARE.
Like all real underground this wants to share a secret, to put SOMETHING
in ur mind, which was there long ago. Itīs not obvious WHAT hit u if
u are hit = itīs an open secret. It starts with watery crackling nice,
much later metallic basic ambiance but then dives under in dark cold
stressy oceans of film noir -yet to be made- soundtracks. A hellish doorbang
and psycholyrics (..what is the opposite form of: what are u doing??
..). here u recognize later, u somehow put in the second disc. OH FUCK
- we know A. Hitler is dead. Bells of what. a real bad trip - was it
ketamine or just strychnine too much - more than just to induce colors.
Metal scraping voices. Re-reprises. Echo echos. Berlin u-bahn? Flashback
to reality and the psychedelic ending...
I think,
I have to shit and take a bath - what a trip. Phuu.

They
make a point out of using sounds of their environment as a starting point
to their experiments. Sound processing is therefore a primal element
in Noisiv's creative process. Combining these with various electronic
and computer generated sounds, they create weird collages in which natural
elements, abstract noise structures, street noises, spoken samples and
ambient-like atmospheres co-exist and succeed one another in a strictly
sparse fashion. This is what you find in the 100 minutes of the double-CD
set Element Sonores which excellently showcases Noisiv's ability in terms
of sound manipulation.
